Germany Tours

Explore

Germany is a diverse, culturally rich country with many must-see historical highlights. Our Germany tours focus on several extraordinary cities that showcase the country’s personality and character. Whatever Germany tour package you take with us will be brimming with cultural insight from travel experts who know the country like the back of their hand.

Our tours of Germany start in the fascinating city of Berlin. The capital city is often considered one of the world’s most compelling places to visit. It’s a living, breathing history book – a city where you can see where history changed just by walking the streets. You can explore the famous landmarks of Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate, the instantly recognisable Reichstag and the cafés of the magnificent Unter den Linden, one of the world’s most famous avenues.

Dresden is another historically rich city and a particular highlight if you love art, architecture, history, or beautifully scenic river landscapes. Before the war, it was the country’s most beautiful city, with its amazing art treasures and imposing baroque buildings. After massive bomb damage, it is now almost completely restored to its former glory as a beacon of hope and peace.  It’s a cultural and architectural treasure trove, including world-class museums like the Green Vault and the Old Masters Gallery.

During your Germany tour, you move deeper into the former East Germany, passing through striking countryside and picturesque villages. You can also visit the dreaded Colditz Castle and medieval Meissen, where stunningly beautiful porcelain is still hand-crafted. The “Romantic Road” of southern Germany is a real contrast and a wonderful tour destination. Rolling countryside, fairy-tale castles, iconic historic cities, delightful medieval German villages and three of Europe’s most beautiful rivers - the Main, Neckar and Danube - will all combine to take your breath away.

Whatever Germany tour you’re interested in, our travel experts will ensure that you have an excellent trip that teaches you about a fascinating culture and gives you the independence to explore these beautiful places. Our Germany escorted tours are highly regarded and are a great way to visit the country, whether you’re a first-timer or someone who has explored it many times before.

Berlin, Dresden, Meissen and Colditz Customer Photo

'The Germany tour manager was extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots of information. The actual tours were informative and educational in a lovely way. Much of the subject matter was emotive but the whole was handled sensitively. Free time was just about right, with location info by the tour manager. Thanks Andrew and Riviera.' - Jacqueline
